Volunteer West Island works in partnership with public High Schools and all four West Island MNA’s to promote volunteering among young people. The YIA Volunteer Challenge recognizes those who become involved in their community.
Participants who complete 40 or more volunteer hours and submit a community service booklet with a brief essay or creative volunteer project about their experience will qualify and will be invited to attend an award ceremony where one winner is chosen per school.
All participants are recognized for their achievements!
The program starts in September and ends mid April every year. Submit your booklets before April 17th to the community office at your school or at reception.
