The 8th annual Pharmascience Morris Goodman Community Partnership Day (MGCPD) took place under ideal weather conditions as Pharmascience employee-volunteers spread out across Montreal and the West Island, giving their time and energy to assist non-profit community organizations. This year’s MGCPD coincided with Pharmascience’s 35th company anniversary so volunteers were looking forward to lending a hand in a record number of local community groups where they were warmly welcomed!
This annual community event has been organized – since its inception in 2011 in honour of the birthday of company’s founder, Morris Goodman – in collaboration with Volunteer West Island’s Corporate Volunteer Recruitment Program. The 2018 Partnership Day was coordinated at the company level by Public Affairs & Communications Coordinator Romy Jedwab, Corporate Events Manager Laila Romeo, and the Public Affairs & Communications Department team.
“The Morris Goodman Community Partnership day is an important day of the year for Pharmascience employees where we recognize the importance of caring for our communities”, said David Goodman, Chief Executive Officer, Pharmascience Inc. “This is a good way for us to show that we are committed to giving back to the communities where we live and work”.
And give back they did. “It is with great pride that we have sent over 300 employees to a variety of organizations across the island of Montreal. At Pharmascience, we strongly believe that as a Montreal-based company, it is our duty to give back to the community who has given us so much throughout the years”, stated Ms Jedwab.
