I.S.I. Controls Volunteers at Animatch in Collaboration with Volunteer West Island’s Corporate Program!

Animatch is a non-profit dog adoption service founded in 1999 by Helen Lacroix and staffed by a dedicated team of volunteers.  They provides dogs with a safe, supportive environment and assistance in transition while waiting for their new, permanent homes.  As many West Islanders know, Animatch has recently had to relocate because the municipal land where their previous premises were located was expropriated.  After a diligent search, a new location was found conforming to municipal requirements and the needs of the rescued dogs.

Mme Lacroix explains, “Animatch is finally seeing some light at the end of the tunnel.  The building has begun…” A new Animatch Centre is in the process of being constructed, ably assisted by teams of volunteers from the community.

Thanks to the support of their Administration, employees from I.S.I. Controls Inc. were among the enthusiastic volunteers who helped out at Animatch this autumn.  The volunteer initiative was organized at the company level by Human Resources Generalist Alina Klenk, in collaboration with Volunteer West Island’s Corporate Volunteer Recruitment program.

Ms Klenk reported, “Just wanted to give you a little update and some photos of our volunteering session at Animatch!  We had lots of fun and are definitely planning to go back with a bigger group!”

“Animatch has no option but to continue – the dogs are depending on us,”   – Helen Lacroix.
