BMS Volunteers Out in Force in the Community! Bristol-Myers and Volunteer West Island Team Up to Help Others

Again this year, much to the delight of a large number of non-profit groups who welcomed them, over 100 Bristol-Myers employees celebrated their Community Day by offering their services as volunteers.  This annual event was again organized in collaboration with Volunteer West Island’s Corporate Volunteer Recruitment program, and at the company level, by Melissa-Sue Quintin, Administrative Coordinator Market Access & Public Affairs.

BMS employee-volunteers engaged in a variety of activities such as cleaning, painting,  gardening, removing invasive plants and replacing them with indigenous species, repairing and, tidying aviaries, decorating, refurbishing equipment, cooking and baking, sorting donations of clothing and household items, non-perishables and produce, packing and distributing food baskets – and once again making a positive difference in their community!

Among the community organizations that benefited from the enthusiasm and generosity of the volunteers from BMS were Animatch; Héritage Laurentien; Le Nichoir; Société canadienne du cancer; Omega Community Resources; WIAIH’s Head Office, Valois Residence, and Angelman Centre; Salvation Army Booth Centre; Tyndale Community Centre; The Teapot; Welcome Hall Mission; and Moisson Montréal.
