L’Oréal Canada Citizen Day 2017; Employee-volunteers and Volunteer West Island Make a Difference in the Community

L’Oréal Canada employee-volunteers recently participated in their 8th annual L’Oréal Canada Citizen Day, dedicating one day to helping local community organizations. During Citizen Day, employees from L’Oréal subsidiaries all over the world and members of the Executive Committee mobilize and support a number of causes and activities, including collecting and sorting food and clothing, gardening, cleaning and beautifying green spaces throughout the day.

The event was organized in Montreal by Teresa Menna, Corporate Citizenship & Internal Communications Manager and Jessica Zagari, Digital Content Manager, working in collaboration with Volunteer West Island’s Corporate Volunteer Program. Close to 400 enthusiastic L’Oréal Canada employees based in Montreal lent a hand throughout the community, helping out at in non-profit organizations that provide crucial services to their clients.

“Citizen’s Day at L’Oréal Canada has become a real mobilizing event, and my teams are happy to participate year after year,” said Frank Kollmar, President and CEO of L’Oréal Canada. “I am very proud to see the commitment of employees from the Montreal headquarters, plant and at our distribution center in Ville Saint-Laurent, as well as at our Toronto office, to improve the communities around them.”

As Ms Menna states, L’Oréal is “looking forward to working with you again for the next edition!”
