Otsuka Volunteers Lending a Hand in the Community

Over thirty enthusiastic volunteers from Otsuka Pharmaceuticals spread out across the West Island and Montreal ro1ecently, going to lend a hand at multiple non-profit community groups.  These included West Island Association for the Intellectually Handicapped, West Island Cancer Wellness Centre, Volunteer West Island (itself a non-profit organization),
Moisson Montreal, and Tyndale St-Georges Community Centre.

The company’s aim was for employee-volunteers to have the opportunity “to sign up for a location that matters to them” according to Kristina Ganten of Bromelin People Prao2ctices who organized this volunteer event on behalf of Otsuka and in collaboration with Volunteer West Island’s Corporate Volunteer Program.

Allison Rosenthal, General Manager, and Jo anie Michel, Senior Human Resources Manager, are strong supporters of Otsuka’s Community Day.  Such a teambuilding activity illustrates the impact of putting corporate social responsibility into practice in the real world and making a difference to others.
